• On August 16, 2016, RAI President Dr. Tom Schneider partnered with Professor Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld to moderate the Partnership Day panels at the FMCS's National Labor-Management Conference in Chicago. These panels featured labor and management leaders from a broad range of highly successful organizations from industries as diverse as education, automobile manufacturing, healthcare, paper and packaging, and utilities.
  • On July 13, 2016, in Washington, DC, RAI President Dr. Tom Schneider was recognized as an Australian American Leadership Dialogue Honoree for 2016.
  • The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) presented the Outstanding Practitioner Award to Thomas J. Schneider on January 4th, 2010 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research and practice in the field of employment relations.
  • RAI and its consultants are featured in a new book for their role in facilitating and developing  the most complex labor-management partnership in the world.  Healing Together: The Labor-Management Partnership at Kaiser Permanente tracks the development and evolution of the partnership which now encompasses 8.6 million members and twenty-seven unions. 
  • RAI President, Tom Schneider, chaired "Ensuring Infrastructure Investments that Advance Sustainability and Green Jobs" at the Labor and Employment Relations Conference held in Washington, D.C. on June 11-12, 2009. The title of this year's conference was "New Frontiers in Labor and Employment Policy Ensuring Good Jobs, Fair Treatment, and High Performance in a Turbulent Economy."
  • RAI President, Tom Schneider presented "Organizational Transformation: Engagement of Labor is the Critical Variable: Case Study PG&E" at the 2nd International Workshop on Work and Intervention Practices held in Quebec City from 27-29 August, 2008.   • The Utilities Industry Council of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) submitted the program proposal, "The Impact of New Technology and Work Processes in the Utility Industry, including: Workforce Reductions, Workforce Transition Benefits, New Positions, Training Challenges, Ability of Workforce to accept Change, Change Management Efforts, and Employee Engagement Efforts" for consideration at the 2009 LERA Meeting in San Francisco.
  • "RAI consultant Cathy Stevens presented, "Using the Whole System Event to Solve Problems and Resolve Conflict," at the 19th Annual Center of Collaborative Solutions (CCS) Labor-Management Conference. The conference, which focuses on "Keys to Success in Labor-Management Relations: Tools and Approaches that Work," was held March 5-7, 2008 at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in Anaheim, CA.   • As co-chairs of the Utilities Industry Council of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), on January 3, 2008, Tom Schneider, Steve Rayburn (PG&E) and Jim Voye (IBEW) presented "Assessing the Employment Implications of the 2006 Repeal of the Public Utility Holding Company Act (PUCHA) in New Orleans, LA.     As co-chair of the Utilities Industry Council of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), on August 17, 2006, Tom Schneider moderated “After the Handshake:  Implementing and Sustaining Innovative Agreements on Health Care, New Technology, Job Security and Contract Administration,” a featured program on the FMCS National Labor Management Conference held August 16-18, 2006 at the Chicago Hyatt.
  • RAI helped Kaiser Permanente, the Permanente Medical Group and the Coalition of KP Unions make history again in 2005, leading a National Bargaining process that resulted in a new five-year national agreement that covers 82,000 workers at 400 facilities in nine states and the District of Columbia.
